Motherhood: Oppression and Delight

For centuries women have been oppressed and suppressed by the patriarchal forces. This book explores the reasons that have lead to male supremacy and female subjugation over the generations. Even though women are bestowed with the unique gift of motherhood this book analyses whether this gift is a boon or a bane. To corroborate the various theories poetic texts written by renowned female writers have been studied.
